My flowers, landscapes, and oceans exude a radiance that is derived not only from vision, but from my entire sensory experience of nature. This radiance is acute; taking me to an edge—an edge at which I attempt to comprehend the riotous abundance of nature. My luminous color comes from energizing the color mass with rhythmic line. Connection with the spiritual timelessness beauty in the flux of matter and flow of light is at the heart of my paintings.

Jed Perl wrote in Art in America, “What a nature painter must do is to impose some human logic or private poetry on the natural world. By this measure Baragona is a very interesting painter.”
